Born in Helsinki, Finland, Patrik Antonius is a professional poker player, currently a member of Team Full Tilt. He now plays under his real name there but he has been a high stakes player for quite a while, and in the past he played under various aliases.

Patrik Antonius currently lives in Monte Carlo. In the beginning of his poker career, he was mentored by Marcel Luske, and then by Jennifer Harman.

His first few notable live tournament achievements came in 2 WPT events in 2005. First, he finished 12th in the Pokerstars Caribbean Adventure, then he finished 15th in the Bay 101 Shooting Stars tournament. The 2005 WSOP would then see him finish in the money in three different events.

Later in the year, he reached the final table of the EPT’s Barcelona Main Event, eventually finishing 3rd. His first – and as yet only – EPT title came the following month when he won the Baden bei Wien EPT event.

Another great result for 2005, was the second place he attained in the WPT’s Five Diamond Poker Classic.

In 2006, he finished in 9th place in the WSOP’s $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. event, a feat which earned him $205k.

2007 wasn’t the best year for him, as he entered several WSOP events, only to reach the money in PL Omaha event.

Antonius had several appearances in NBC’s Poker After Dark, finishing second the first time (losing out to Jennifer Harman), winning the second time (over Brad Booth) and then finishing second again to Johnny Chan.

GSN’s High Stakes Poker also saw him play in two consecutive seasons, one of which saw him battle it out for the largest pot in the history of the show with Sam Farha.

Being a member of team Full Tilt, he’s pretty much involved with everything that stirs at the site when it comes to high stakes play. In 2008, he finished 2nd in the $25,000 Heads-up PL Omaha championship organized by the online poker room.
